Fair Offers Shoppers Alternative Gifts

Black Friday kicks off the holiday shopping season, but a Cumberland County organization wants you to start thinking about it now.


The Ladies Half charity group offered shoppers a different view of gift-giving. The alternative gift market was held at the Township Recreation Building.
Shoppers could make donations to causes that meant something to them in honor of friends and family.

"Maybe one or two organization struck a personal cord with them and throughout the year they think about giving or volunteering time. its not always just a financial contribution that's need." Member Robin Scaer said.


In four hours, the event raised more than 11,000 dollars for area organizations.
